Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information Drive Tennessee Forward collects when you reserve a plate, why we collect it, and how we protect it. Drive Tennessee Forward is a campaign of EO Nashville, which is the collector of pre-order funds and the party responsible for your information.

What we collect

When you reserve a plate we collect: your name, email address, phone number, mailing address, and Tennessee county, along with your refund-or-donation election. Payment card details are entered directly with our payment processor (Stripe) and are never stored on our servers.

Why we collect it, and who we share it with

We use your information to process your pre-order, send your confirmation and receipt, and keep you updated on the campaign. Your name and address are submitted to the Tennessee Department of Revenue as part of the plate order the state requires to authorize and produce the plate. Payment is processed by Stripe. We do not sell your information to anyone.

How long we keep it

We retain your order information only as long as needed to fulfill the plate order, meet the state’s requirements, and satisfy applicable tax and record-keeping obligations. After that period, or after the campaign closes and all orders are resolved, we delete or securely archive your information.

Where your information goes

To have the plate produced, Tennessee requires an applicant list. The name and mailing address of the person who will register each plate are submitted to the Tennessee Department of Revenue, together with the county. Your email and phone number are not part of that submission. A record filed with a state agency may be subject to the Tennessee Public Records Act, so our retention commitments cover our own records rather than the state’s copy.

We use a small number of service providers to run the campaign: Stripe (payment processing, and it also holds a copy of your reservation details so they survive a site failure), WP Engine (website hosting and backups), and SendGrid (sending your receipt and campaign updates). Card details are never stored on this site.
